Oyebanji Names New Buildings After Ex-Govs in Ekiti

Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji has honored former governors Ayodele Fayose, Segun Oni, and Kayode Fayemi by naming newly constructed government buildings after them, recognizing their contributions to the state's development. The announcement was made by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Yinka Oyebode, in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday.

The buildings named after Dr. Fayemi and Chief Fayose are scheduled for commissioning on July 31, 2026, and August 3, 2026, respectively.

Additionally, a building named after Segun Oni is nearing completion and is slated for commissioning in October 2026. This initiative follows the October 2024 naming of the remodelled Presidential Lodge after the first civilian governor, Otunba Niyi Adebayo, which was inaugurated by Adebayo during the second anniversary of the Oyebanji administration.

The former governors will serve as special guests of honor for the inaugurations, marking a new phase of project inaugurations as Governor Oyebanji prepares for his second term.
