Ekiti Governor Honors Predecessors with Legacy Projects

On Friday, Ekiti Governor Biodun Oyebanji inaugurated the ultramodern Kayode Fayemi Lodge at the Government House Complex in Ado-Ekiti, naming it after his immediate predecessor, Dr Kayode Fayemi. Governor Oyebanji explained that his administration aims to honor former governors by naming newly constructed legacy projects after them, as none had done so during their tenures.

The ceremony was attended by Dr Fayemi and his wife, Erelu Bisi Fayemi. Oyebanji announced that a project named after former Governor Ayodele Fayose would be commissioned on Monday, with another for former Governor Segun Oni scheduled for a later date.

He reiterated his commitment to creating an environment conducive to investment and productivity, aligning with Ekiti’s 30-Year Development Plan. Oyebanji noted that the second term of his administration would focus on supporting businesses and infrastructure development, which he believes is essential for economic prosperity.
