Minister Announces 100 Scholarships for Female Students at Isaac Balami University

The Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim, announced 100 scholarships for young women to study aeronautics at Isaac Balami University. The initiative aims to increase female representation in the aviation industry, where women currently hold only 13% of jobs.

The university, founded by Comrade Isaac Balami, is praised for its role in training personnel locally and reducing the need to send individuals abroad for training. Scholarships are available to qualified candidates scoring 200 and above in the UTME.

The move is part of efforts to strengthen Nigeria's aviation sector and create job opportunities for women.
