NNPP Denies Kwankwaso's Negotiation with APC or Tinubu Amid Defection Rumors

The New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) has vehemently denied reports suggesting that its national leader, Kwankwaso, engaged in negotiations with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) or its leader, Tinubu, regarding defection. Ladipo Johnson, the NNPP's national public secretary, dismissed the claims as baseless attempts to tarnish Kwankwaso's reputation.

The rebuttal follows allegations made by Baba Yusuf, CEO of a global investment and trade company, on a TV show, accusing Kwankwaso of making excessive demands during negotiations with the APC. In response, Johnson accused political opponents of plotting to isolate Kwankwaso ahead of the 2027 general elections, reaffirming Kwankwaso's commitment to the NNPP.

The NNPP maintains its stance that Kwankwaso will play a significant role in shaping Nigeria's political future.
