Nigerian Afrobeat singer Michael Adebayo Olayinka, known as Ruger, shared his disappointment over missing an opportunity to work with Nollywood actress and producer Funke Akindele on a blockbuster film a few years ago. In an interview with Nigerian media personality VJ Adams, Ruger recounted that he and Funke often vibed over music and shared messages on social media.

He acknowledged that Funke had previously reached out to him expressing interest in featuring him in a movie. However, Ruger did not see her message until it was too late, which left him feeling sad and hurt about the missed opportunity.
