Zamfara Lawmaker Rejects APC Congress Over PDP Infiltration

Aminu Sani Jaji, a member of the House of Representatives representing Kaura Namoda/Birnin Magaji Federal Constituency, publicly rejected the outcome of the APC ward and local government congress held in Zamfara State. During a press briefing in Gusau on Monday, Jaji criticized the process as disorganized and compromising, alleging that individuals within the party manipulated the congress for personal gain.

He claimed that APC members unlawfully purchased nomination forms to prevent legitimate voting. Jaji accused the congress of violating party rules and damaging the confidence of loyal members across the state.

He further alleged that members of the PDP participated in the congress, undermining the credibility of the entire process. Jaji warned that ignoring complaints from aggrieved members could weaken the party ahead of future elections.

He called on the APC national leadership to dissolve the current state working committee and conduct fresh, transparent congresses to restore trust among party supporters in Zamfara.
