APC Zamfara Congress: Jaji Calls for Intervention Over Polls

Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji, a member of the House of Representatives representing Kaura Namoda/Birnin Magaji in Zamfara State, has publicly alleged that the APC congress held in Zamfara was a "kangaroo" poll.

During a press conference in Gusau on Monday, Jaji called on the national chairman of the APC to cancel the congress, asserting that many party members were denied participation in the ward and local government congresses. He noted that forms were sold to members who were unable to participate and that members of opposing parties were allowed to take part in the congress.

Jaji urged the national chairman to address the situation by dissolving the state working committee and setting a new date for a fair exercise. He also appealed to the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, to constitute a committee to reconcile APC members and intervene in the matter in Zamfara State.

Jaji reassured party members to remain calm and await updates, expressing hope for a fair response.
