Zamfara Lawmaker Sani Jaji Rejects APC Congress Results

Sani Jaji, representing the Kaura Namoda/Birnin Magaji Federal Constituency in Zamfara State, publicly rejected the results of the recent APC congresses, which he described as fraught with irregularities. During a press conference in Gusau, Jaji characterized the electoral process as a "kangaroo" operation, claiming it was hijacked by individuals with selfish motives, denying party members their voting rights.

He alleged that the congress was conducted without adequate participation from APC members, contradicting the party's constitution. Jaji urged the APC national leadership, including Bello Matawalle, to intervene and prevent a recurrence of the disintegration witnessed in 2019.

He called for the cancellation of the congress results and the establishment of a new date for fair elections, emphasizing the need for equal opportunities for all party members. Jaji also noted that complaints sent to the national headquarters had not been addressed, further complicating the situation.
