Okocha Prepares for Rematch Against Portable on July 31

Charl Okocha is ramping up his training for a rematch against street artist Habeeb Portable Badmus, set for July 31. Okocha is training with WBO Intercontinental Heavyweight Champion Mose Itauma, sharing footage of their sessions on social media.

This rematch follows Portable's unanimous decision win in their first meeting. Taiwo Esehpo, the WBA Africa Lightweight Champion, is also preparing for a bout against South African fighter Ayabonga Sonjika, who stepped in after an opponent withdrew.

The rematch between Okocha and Portable was confirmed by Balmor Group's Chief Executive Officer Ezekiel Adamu, who stated it was activated at Okocha's request after a chaotic press conference where both fighters had a physical altercation. Portable has issued threats regarding the upcoming fight, while Okocha promises a different outcome this time.

The event will also feature other bouts, including a WBO Africa Cruiserweight title defense by Goddai Appah.
