ITF Launches Fuel Station to Enhance Staff Welfare in Jos

The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) inaugurated a new fuel station with a capacity of 47,600 litres in Jos, Plateau State, on October 17, 2023. The facility aims to enhance access to petroleum products for ITF staff and is part of a welfare initiative promised by the Director-General, Dr Afiz Ogun.

During the commissioning, Ogun explained that staff could purchase fuel using their ID cards, with payments deducted from their salaries. He emphasized that this project is one of many under his administration, which also includes plans for a Digital Fabrication Centre and a Skills Academy for high school students.

Ogun connected the fuel station to national priorities, stating that the ITF is committed to addressing poverty and improving education through skills acquisition and entrepreneurship training. Dauda Msheliza, Director of the Estate Management Department, noted that the project aligns with Ogun's three-point agenda focused on skills acquisition, automation, and workforce welfare.
