APM Critiques Tinubu for Extended Vacation in Paris

The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has publicly criticized President Bola Tinubu for his prolonged vacation in Paris, France, asserting that his absence has resulted in a leadership vacuum in Nigeria. In a statement from National Publicity Secretary Abubakar Yusuf, the party accused Tinubu of abandoning governance responsibilities to family members and unelected aides.

The APM highlighted concerns over Tinubu's absence from significant international engagements, particularly the United Nations General Assembly, which they argue undermines Nigeria's diplomatic interests. They questioned his lack of visits to communities affected by terrorism, kidnapping, and banditry, citing over 600,000 Nigerians killed and many abducted in the past three years due to a "languid approach" to insecurity.

The party also criticized the government's economic policies, including the removal of fuel subsidies, which they claim have exacerbated unemployment and poverty, pushing over 140 million Nigerians into severe economic hardship. The APM concluded that Nigeria cannot afford another four years under Tinubu's administration.
