APM Criticizes Tinubu's Three-Week Leave in Europe

The Allied People’s Movement (APM) has criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's decision to take a three-week leave in Europe, which began on Sunday, with London as his first destination. The party's National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Abubakar Yusuf, called for the Presidency to provide information regarding the President's health status and details of his leave, including his itinerary and entourage.

Yusuf expressed that the timing of the leave raises concerns about Tinubu's ability to address Nigeria's pressing security and economic issues. The APM also urged transparency regarding allegations linking Tinubu to an FBI drug-related report, stating that public apprehension has increased due to his absence.

The party condemned the Tinubu administration for its handling of economic policies, claiming they have exacerbated poverty and increased Nigeria's debt to N159.28 trillion. Furthermore, the APM reported that over 628,000 Nigerians have been killed and 2.2 million abducted since Tinubu took office in May 2023, urging him to reflect on his administration's failures during his leave.
