ITUC-Africa Commends Historic ILO Convention for Workers

ITUC-Africa, represented by Joel Odigi, commended the historic ILO Convention during a statement in Geneva. The convention is designed to provide essential protections against worker misclassification, the unfair deactivation of opaque algorithms, and violations of privacy, as well as unsafe working conditions.

Odigi stated that the convention also addresses the need for exclusive social protection for workers. He urged governments to move swiftly toward the ratification and implementation of the convention, emphasizing ITUC-Africa's full support for this initiative.
