Grieving Plateau Mother Urges Son to Avenge His Death

In a poignant video that has gone viral, Mr. Favour Ayuba, a mother from Plateau State, mourns the loss of her son, Promis Ayuba, who was killed during a violent attack in the Angwan Rukuba area of Jos North Local Government Area.

The attack occurred on March 29, Palm Sunday, resulting in the deaths of at least 24 people and leaving several others injured. In the emotional video, Ayuba, visibly distraught and beside her son's coffin, recalls the pain of losing him and reveals that she has not eaten since his death.

She holds a cutlass wrapped in white cloth, which she places inside the coffin, urging her son to avenge his death. Despite her grief, she attempts to remain strong, referencing the biblical figure Gideon for strength and expressing hope through her son's name, Promis Gideon Ayuba.

The burial coincided with her son's birthday, adding to her sorrow as she navigates her profound loss amidst ongoing violence in the region.
