NAFDAC DG Advocates for Investment in Women and Children

On March 8, 2026, during the celebration of International Women's Day in Abuja, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, the Director General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), called for enhanced investment in women and children, identifying them as essential factors for building a healthier and sustainable future for Nigeria.

Prof. Adeyeye made this appeal while addressing the theme "Give Gain" and recognizing the contributions of the agency's staff, particularly women.

She emphasized the importance of acknowledging women's resilience and their contributions within the institution dedicated to safeguarding lives. Additionally, she highlighted NAFDAC's maternal and newborn child health initiative, which was launched in November 2025, noting that investing in women and children is integral to national development.
