Iwobi's Father Denies Robbery Claims Amid Match Prep

Chuka Iwobi, the father of Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi, has dismissed reports claiming that his son's London residence was robbed. The rumors suggested that armed intruders broke into the home and stole valuables worth £500,000, including jewelry, luxury watches, electronic devices, and cash.

Chuka Iwobi clarified that his son was already in Turkey preparing for a friendly match when the rumors began circulating online. He stated to journalist Colin Udoh that there was absolutely no attempt to burglarize the residence.

Chuka expressed his frustration over the rapid spread of false reports, noting that he received numerous calls from concerned friends and well-wishers seeking confirmation of the incident. Meanwhile, Alex Iwobi joined the Super Eagles training camp in Antalya, Turkey, ahead of an upcoming international friendly match against Iran on Friday, March 31.

The match will be played in Antalya due to security concerns that forced a change from the original venue in Amman.
