Ize-Iyamu Threatens Lawsuit Over Cloned Newspaper Claims

Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, has threatened legal action against Collins Osagha, a special adviser on digital media to the Edo State governor, over the circulation of a cloned front page of Vanguard Newspaper. Ize-Iyamu alleges that the publication contains defamatory statements aimed at damaging his reputation, particularly as he prepares to contest in the 2027 presidential election.

He has instructed his lawyers to initiate legal proceedings against anyone sharing the cloned newspaper, demanding a retraction and an apology within 48 hours, along with N2 billion in damages. Ize-Iyamu, who finished third in the party's primary election for the Edo South senatorial district, described the actions as malicious attempts to spread falsehoods about him.

He emphasized his commitment to supporting President Bola Tinubu and maintaining his integrity as a decent Nigerian citizen.
