Ize-Iyamu Advocates Fair APC Primaries in Edo State

Osagie Ize-Iyamu, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Edo South senatorial aspirant, urged the party leadership to ensure a transparent and impartial conduct of the upcoming primaries. In a statement released on Wednesday, Ize-Iyamu warned against the imposition of candidates and emphasized that party members should be allowed to decide freely without fear of coercion or intimidation.

He noted that a credible process is essential for party unity and public trust. Ize-Iyamu cautioned against undue influence in the primaries, insisting that any direct appointments of stakeholders who support candidates contrary to democratic ideals would undermine party unity and erode public trust.

He reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC and its leadership under President Bola Tinubu, commending efforts to reposition the country. Ize-Iyamu also stated that he has no intention of leaving the APC, regardless of circumstances, and highlighted the competitive nature of the upcoming race against incumbents Neda Imasuen and Omoregi Ogbeid Ihama.
