JAMB Adjusts Arrival Time for 2026 UTME Candidates

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a change in the arrival time for candidates taking the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Candidates are now required to arrive at their examination centers by 7:00 AM, instead of the previously scheduled 6:30 AM.

The first session of the examination will start at 8:30 AM and conclude at 10:30 AM. This adjustment comes after criticism from candidates who had to arrive at the centers as early as 6:00 AM, often leaving home at dawn.

JAMB has stated that candidates do not need to reprint their examination slips following this change. The UTME will be conducted in four daily sessions from Monday to Thursday, with the second session starting at 11:00 AM, the third at 1:30 PM, and the final session at 4:00 PM.

JAMB expects approximately two million candidates to participate in this year's UTME across the country.
