JAMB Handover: Oloyede Passes Leadership to Aina

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) will conduct an official handover ceremony on July 31, 2026, at 10 am, where Prof. Ishaq Oloyede will transfer leadership to Prof.

Segun Aina. This event, described as a significant milestone, will be broadcast live on JAMB's social media platforms.

Oloyede's tenure as registrar concludes on the same date. President Bola Tinubu appointed Aina as the new registrar, as announced by Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy.

Aina, a Professor of Computer Engineering at Obafemi Awolowo University, holds degrees in Computer Systems Engineering, Internet Computing and Network Security, and Digital Signal Processing. He has over 15 years of experience in advising governments on digital transformation and has consulted for various examination bodies.

Aina will be the youngest registrar in JAMB's history and is expected to build upon the reforms initiated during Oloyede's administration.
