JAMB Suspends Exam Town Selection for 2026 UTME Candidates in Ekiti State

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the suspension of the selection of exam towns for 2026 UTME candidates in Ekiti state. This decision aims to restructure the examination process to ensure closer proximity to candidates and reduce transportation challenges on exam days.

Candidates are usually allowed to select exam towns closest to their location during registration, but anomalies were detected in Ekiti's exam town configuration, necessitating urgent adjustments. This temporary suspension will affect candidates in Ekiti state who will be unable to select exam towns until the restructuring process is concluded.

JAMB spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, expressed regret for any inconvenience caused to candidates and assured that the board is committed to improving its processes to ensure candidates are treated with dignity and respect.
