JAMB, WAEC Set WASSCE Result Verification Fee at ₦4,000

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) have announced that candidates seeking admission into Nigerian tertiary institutions will pay a one-time verification fee of ₦4,000 for their West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) O’Level results. This clarification was made in a joint press statement issued on Tuesday, following the introduction of a new system that allows candidates to upload and verify their results remotely.

Candidates are required to verify their WAEC results only once through JAMB, which will then share the verified results with the relevant tertiary institutions for admission processing. The statement emphasized that candidates will not incur additional verification fees from their chosen institutions.

This initiative aims to streamline the admission process, making it easier and more convenient for candidates by eliminating the need for multiple verifications. WAEC has authorized JAMB to share the verification outcomes with tertiary institutions for administrative purposes.
