Dr. Olajide Appointed University Librarian at Bowen University

The Governing Council of Bowen University, located in Iwo, Osun State, has appointed Dr. Adebayo Afolabi Olajide as the fourth substantive University Librarian. His appointment is effective immediately and signifies a new phase in the university library's administration.

Dr. Olajide joined Bowen University in 2011 as Librarian II, progressing to Senior Librarian and serving as Coordinator of the Medical Library at Bowen University Teaching Hospital before leaving in 2019. He furthered his career at Precious Cornerstone University, Ibadan, where he served as University Librarian.

Dr. Olajide obtained a Ph.D. in Library and Information Science from the University of Ilorin in 2023 and holds a Master’s degree from the University of Ibadan and a Bachelor of Technology from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology. His expertise includes data analytics and digital communication, and he has published over 30 academic articles.

As University Librarian, he will lead the library's administration, supporting teaching and research initiatives.
