Ganduje Celebrates Abba Yusuf's Freedom on January 22

In a statement regarding the political landscape in Kano State, former APC national chairman Abdullahi Ganduje emphasized that January 22 should be recognized as the day Governor Abba Yusuf gained freedom rather than a betrayal day. This comment was in response to remarks made by Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), who had characterized Yusuf's defection from the APC as an act of disloyalty.

Ganduje made these remarks during a condolence visit to the residence of former governor Ibrahim Shekarau, following the death of Shekarau's brother. Meanwhile, preparations are underway for a formal reception for Governor Yusuf on Monday, which is expected to be attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima and several APC governors.

This event is described as a major political gathering aimed at consolidating the APC's influence in the North West region, particularly in Kano State, marking a significant milestone for the party.
