JIBWIS Rejects INEC Chairman Appointment, Citing Impartiality Concerns

The Jama'atu Izalatil Bid'ah Wa Ikamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS) has rejected the appointment of the INEC Chairman in Nigeria, expressing concerns about impartiality and inter-religious harmony. Sheikh Jingir, a Nigerian Muslim leader, spoke at the 33rd annual national seminar organized by JIBWIS, criticizing the appointment and calling for the removal of the current INEC boss.

He accused the chairman of past allegations of genocide against Christians, raising doubts about his ability to lead impartially in upcoming elections. Sheikh Jingir emphasized the need for fair and equitable leadership in electoral matters to ensure public trust and democracy.
