Seven Teachers Arrested for Cheating in Jigawa Test

In Jigawa State, seven teachers were arrested for engaging in cheating during a competency test conducted by the Jigawa State Universal Basic Education Board. This initiative is part of ongoing reforms aimed at improving accountability and learning outcomes in public schools.

Haruna Musa, the chairman of the board, emphasized the need for a comprehensive assessment of teachers to identify knowledge and skill gaps, which will guide targeted training programs.
