Jigawa University Expels 20 Students for Exam Malpractice

The Federal University Dutsin-Ma in Jigawa State has expelled 20 students and suspended 15 others due to involvement in exam malpractice. This decision was approved by the university's Senate, based on recommendations from the Senate Committee on Examination Misconduct.

The actions were taken during the second semester of the 2024/2025 academic session. Additionally, the Senate exonerated two students who received written warnings, while three others faced disciplinary actions according to the categories of their offenses.

The announcement was made in a statement signed by the Director of Academic Affairs, Nora Dannatta, and issued by the university's Director of Public Affairs, Abdullahi Yahaya Bello, on Wednesday. This incident reflects ongoing efforts to uphold academic integrity within the institution.
