Jigawa ADC Supports Atiku's Fuel Subsidy Restoration Plan

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Jigawa State has expressed its support for Atiku Abubakar, the party's presidential candidate for the 2027 elections, regarding his commitment to restore fuel subsidy if elected. In a statement issued on Saturday in Dutse, signed by the ADC Jigawa State Deputy Chairman, Ambassador Nuraddeen Jidawa, the party articulated that restoring the subsidy is essential to mitigate the economic difficulties currently faced by Nigerians.

The ADC linked the ongoing economic crisis to the Federal Government's removal of petrol subsidy in 2023, which resulted in increased transportation, food, and essential commodity costs. Jidawa praised Atiku for his integrity and democratic experience, asserting confidence in his ability to fulfill his promises.

He noted that Atiku's proposed subsidy framework would focus on targeted and accountable support, prioritizing domestic fuel production to minimize waste and corruption. Jidawa urged Nigerians to vote for ADC candidates in the upcoming 2027 general elections to address the country's economic challenges.
