Jigawa Deputy Governor Denies Defection Rumors from APC

Jigawa State Deputy Governor Usman addressed speculation regarding his alleged plans to defect from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the African Democratic Congress (ADC). During a meeting with APC stakeholders at the government house in Dutsin-Ma, Usman described the circulating reports as false and fabricated by certain individuals serving personal interests.

He reaffirmed his commitment to the current administration and warned against the spread of rumors that could cause unnecessary political tension in the state. Additionally, Senator Adamu, representing Jigawa State, characterized the reports as baseless and misleading, intended to sow discord within the APC.

He cautioned against the growing trend of unfounded political narratives circulating on radio platforms, emphasizing the need for unity within the party as they approach the 2027 general elections.
