Nakudu Leaves APC, Joins ADC for 2027 Guber Race

Former Senator Nakudu, who represented Jigawa Central, has officially defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as he prepares to contest the Jigawa State governorship election in 2027. This decision was announced shortly after Nakudu completed his registration with the ADC in Dutsinma, Jigawa State.

He stated that his move was driven by the need to identify a platform that promotes inclusivity and grassroots development while engaging with various political stakeholders across the state. Nakudu emphasized that his decision was not made lightly and expressed confidence in the ADC's structure and ideology as a viable alternative capable of addressing the socio-economic challenges facing Jigawa State.

He highlighted that the ADC focuses on people-oriented policies and aims to deliver meaningful development at the grassroots level. His resignation from the APC marks the end of his association with the ruling party.
