Jigawa Governor Suspends Four Aides Indefinitely

Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi has ordered the indefinite suspension of four political aides, effective immediately. The announcement was made through a statement issued by Bala Ibrahim, the Secretary to the State Government.

The suspended aides are Abba Makama, Senior Special Assistant on Flood Control; Salisu Muhammad, also known as Rosi, Special Assistant on Entrepreneurship; Ibrahim Yunusa, Special Assistant on Basic Education; and Umar Abdulkadir, known as Alhaji Bullet, Special Assistant on Cluster Farm. The statement did not provide specific reasons for their suspension.

However, reports from Punch suggest that the action may be linked to allegations of anti-party activities involving members of the All Progressives Congress in Jigawa State, particularly concerning the conduct of a member of the House of Representatives from Hadejia and Kafin Hausa Federal Constituency, alongside six party officials. Neither the state government nor the suspended aides have confirmed any connection to these allegations.
