Jigawa PDP Rejects Endorsement of Tanimu Turaki as National Chairman, Cites Contrary Interests

The Jigawa State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has rejected the endorsement of Kabiru Tanimu Turaki as the national chairman by the Northern caucus of the party. The state chairman, Babandi Ibrahim Gumel, criticized the decision, stating that it goes against the interests of stakeholders in the North-West region.

The party is divided over the nomination process, with concerns raised about the lack of consultation and the need for a capable leader to revive the PDP. Sule Lamido was suggested as a suitable candidate.

The state chairman emphasized the importance of unity and progress within the party.
