Jigawa pilgrims to receive N42,996 refund from 2025 Hajj Hadaya

Jigawa State pilgrims participating in the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage will receive a refund of N42,996 for the Hadaya animal sacrifice payment, as announced by the State Amirul Hajj leader, Emir Kazaure Najib Hussaini Adamu. The refund was disclosed during the presentation of the 2025 Hajj exercise report to the Governor of Jigawa State, Malam Umar Namadi.

The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board successfully recovered the balance of N42,996 from 930 pilgrims who had paid for the Hadaya. The Board also returned the sum to the state government's treasury revenue account.

The Amirul Hajj highlighted challenges faced during the Hajj exercise, including the absence of a permanent Hajj camp and the unfortunate death of a pilgrim. Governor Namadi commended the delegation for their accountability and transparency and pledged to build a permanent Hajj camp for smoother operations in the future.
