Jimoh Urges Professionalism at ASP Decoration Ceremony

Olohundar Jimoh, the Commissioner of Police for Lagos State Command, decorated newly promoted Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) during a ceremony held on Monday at the command headquarters in Ikeja. He emphasized the importance of professionalism and service excellence, urging the officers to uphold discipline and improve service delivery in line with the vision of the Nigeria Police Force.

Jimoh described the promotions as a reward for merit and outstanding performance, reminding the officers that their elevation represents recognition of increased responsibilities. He noted that the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, approved the promotion of 1,848 inspectors nationwide to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police.

Jimoh assured that the newly promoted ASPs would be strategically deployed across various operational and administrative units to strengthen police outcomes and enhance public service delivery in Lagos State. He highlighted the heightened expectations for the new rank, calling for leadership, efficiency, and teamwork within the command to improve service delivery and protect lives and property, especially for vulnerable members of society.
