Lagos CP Jimoh Decorates Newly Promoted ASPs, Urges Excellence

On Monday, Olohundar Jimoh, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, decorated newly promoted Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) during a ceremony held at the command headquarters in Ikeja. Jimoh emphasized that the promotions were a result of merit, dedication, and outstanding performance.

He urged the officers to recognize their elevated responsibilities and to reflect their hard work and commitment to duty in their service. The promotions were approved by the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, who sanctioned the elevation of 1,848 inspectors nationwide to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police.

Jimoh assured that the newly promoted officers would be deployed across various operational and administrative units to strengthen police outcomes and improve public service delivery in Lagos State. He highlighted that the new rank comes with heightened expectations for leadership, efficiency, and teamwork within the command, aiming to enhance the protection of lives and property, especially for vulnerable members of society.
