Joshua Crash Driver Case Adjourned to March 2026

The case against Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayod, the driver involved in a fatal crash with British heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua, has been adjourned until March 13, 2026. The incident occurred on December 29, when Joshua's vehicle collided with a stationary lorry near Lagos, Nigeria.

Joshua, who was injured in the crash, was discharged from the hospital two days later. His personal trainer, Latif Ayodel, and strength coach, Sina Ghami, were also involved, with Ayodel pronounced dead at the scene.

Kayod, who is 46 years old, appeared in Sagamu Magistrate Court in Ogun State, where he faces charges including causing death, dangerous driving, reckless driving, driving without due care, and driving without a valid driver's license. The prosecutor requested additional time to prepare evidence for the case.
