Julius Berger Nigeria Appoints Two New Board Directors
Julius Berger Nigeria Plc has filed a corporate action notice with the Nigerian Exchange Limited disclosing changes to its board of directors following a board meeting held on June 17, 2026. The filing announces the appointment of Dr. Muiz Adeyemi Banire as a Non-Executive Director and Mrs. Chinazo Okoye as Alternate Director to Dr. Ernest N. Azudialu-Obiejesi, OFR.

Dr. Muiz Adeyemi Banire, Ph.D, SAN, OON, has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director with effect from July 1, 2026. A legal practitioner called to the Nigerian Bar in 1989, he holds degrees from the University of Lagos including a doctorate, and a Master Certificate in Arbitration from the Lagos Court of Arbitration Training Institute. He is the Founder and Principal Partner of M. A. Banire & Associates and serves as Pro-Chancellor of the University of Uyo. He holds the national honour of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON).
Mrs. Chinazo Okoye has been appointed as Alternate Director to Dr. Ernest N. Azudialu-Obiejesi, OFR, effective June 17, 2026. She holds engineering degrees from the University of Michigan and Cornell University, as well as a Master of Science in Professional Accountancy from the University of London. She is a Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) and currently serves as Managing Director of Amaranta Trading Limited.
