Nigeria U19 Sets Record with 461 Runs Against Mozambique

Nigeria’s Junior YellowGreens achieved a remarkable feat in the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup Africa Qualifier Division 2, scoring a tournament-high 461 runs against Mozambique U19 at the IPRC Oval in Kigali. The team secured a dominant 407-run victory, with four batters contributing significantly to the total.

Hossana Omonkhobhio scored 84 runs off 73 balls, while captain Ali Rahmon added 41 runs off 46 balls. Peculiar Egemasi played a pivotal role with 123 runs off 84 balls, and Bright Nyong finished with an explosive 137 not out from just 53 balls.

The combined efforts of these four players accounted for 385 of Nigeria's total runs. Mozambique's response was dismal, as they were bowled out for only 54 runs in 23 overs, with Kenneth Boniface taking 3 wickets for 13 runs and Princewill Chigozie claiming 2 wickets for 8 runs.
