Jurgen Klopp Named Germany National Team Coach Until 2030

On Friday, Germany appointed Jurgen Klopp as the new head coach of its national football team, following his departure from Liverpool in 2024. Klopp signed a contract that extends until the 2030 World Cup.

The 59-year-old manager previously led Liverpool to six trophies during his nine-year tenure at Anfield. He replaces Julian Nagelsmann, who was dismissed after Germany's disappointing performance in the 2026 World Cup, where the team was eliminated in the Round of 32 stage by Paraguay on penalties.

Klopp reached an agreement to take over the national team on Saturday, July 11, after discussions held in New York.
