Tragic Accident Claims Lives of 12 Jehovah’s Witnesses in Imo State

Twelve Jehovah’s Witnesses tragically died in a road accident at Njaba bridge in Imo state involving a gas tanker and a commuter bus. The accident occurred on a Sunday at 9 pm, resulting in 12 fatalities, including eight adults and four children, with eight others sustaining injuries.

The spokesperson for the Imo police command, Henry Okoye, confirmed the incident, with the deceased's remains deposited at Ogbaku mortuary and the injured receiving treatment at Divine Hospital. The Imo Commissioner of Police, Aboki Danjuma, expressed condolences to the bereaved families and urged motorists to drive responsibly.

The police cleared the wreckage to restore traffic flow.
