Accountant-General of Nasarawa Resigns for 2027 Bid

The Accountant-General of Nasarawa State has officially resigned from his position to pursue a governorship bid for the 2027 elections. This decision was announced during a rally held in honor of Lafia, organized by a group known as the Fatan Alheri Movement.

The rally saw attendance from various political stakeholders and community leaders across the state. Mohammed, the former Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, reportedly faced pressure to support his entry into the governorship race, which he described as a potential successor to the current governor of Nasarawa State.

The announcement comes shortly after Governor Sule met with governorship aspirants from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja, which included two former governors and a former deputy governor of the state.
