ADC Suspends Senator Ireti Kingibe Over Allegations

The Wuse Ward chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has suspended Senator Ireti Kingibe, who represents the Federal Capital Territory in the National Assembly, over allegations of anti-party activities. The decision was announced during a meeting held by the ward's executive members in Wuse, Abuja.

The suspension is effective immediately and will remain in place indefinitely, pending further review by the party leadership. According to Kanayo Chukwu, the ADC chairman of the Wuse Ward, the action follows complaints raised against Senator Kingibe by party members at the grassroots level.

The ward executive carefully reviewed the allegations and concluded that the lawmaker was culpable of anti-party activities, insubordination, and violations of party rules and conduct. The suspension bars Senator Kingibe from participating in ward activities and representing the party at the local level until further directives are issued by the higher organs of the party.

Kingibe, a prominent opposition figure, joined the ADC from the Labour Party amid internal disagreements within the opposition bloc.
