Akpabio's Aide Resigns, Citing Personal Reasons

Godswill Akpabio's top aide, Kenny Okolugbo, has resigned from his position as a media consultant citing personal and family commitments. Okolugbo expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve at a high level within the Nigerian National Assembly.

His resignation, effective January 1, 2026, was accepted by Chinedu Akubuez, the Chief of Staff to the Senate President. This development marks the end of Okolugbo's role in the media operations of the former Akwa Ibom State governor within the Senate President's office.
