Benue Gov't Bans School Graduation Parties to Prioritize Academic Excellence

Helen Nambativ, announced the directive aimed at reducing unnecessary expenses for parents and schools. The ban is part of a new education policy to prioritize academic excellence over social events.

Schools that disregard the directive risk sanctions, including temporary closure and potential loss of operating licenses. A task force has been established to ensure compliance with the new policy, which emphasizes redirecting resources towards meaningful learning outcomes.

The government aims to bring discipline and sanity to the basic education sector in Benue State.
