Defence HQ Reveals Motive Behind Terrorist Attack in Kwara Community

The Defence Headquarters in Abuja disclosed the reasons for a deadly terrorist attack in Woro, a community in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State, Nigeria. The attack, which resulted in the loss of innocent lives, was described as cowardly by the military.

The terrorists had sought permission to conduct indoctrination sessions in the village, but their request was rejected. Following the rejection, the terrorists carried out the mass killings.

The Defence Headquarters commended the resilience of the residents who refused to abandon their lives despite the threats. The military urged Nigerians to stand firm in faith, resist extremist ideologies, and collaborate with security agencies to combat terrorism.

Amnesty International also condemned the escalating wave of killings and abductions across Nigeria, highlighting the increasing insecurity in the country.
