Military Strikes and Ground Troops Target Terrorist Hideouts in Kwara State

In Kwara State, Nigeria, military airstrikes and ground troops have been deployed to combat terrorist activities. The Chief Press Secretary of the Kwara State Governor, Rafiu Ajakaye, confirmed the operations.

The military successfully targeted bandit hideouts in areas like Baba Sango, Ifelodun, Gbugbu Axi, Edu, Lata, Patigi, and Ongo. The operations resulted in the destruction of terrorist camps and the displacement of bandits.

Several bandits sustained injuries during the operations. Residents in affected communities are urged to remain vigilant and cooperate with security forces to combat criminal activities and provide information.

The military operation faced challenges due to concerns about the presence of informants within the community.
