JUST IN: EFCC arrests 93 Fraudsters in Obasanjo’s Hotel [PHOTOS]

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 93 suspected internet fraudsters in a sting operation at the Green Legacy Hotel in Abeokuta, Ogun State. The operation, carried out by the Lagos Zonal Directorate 2 of the EFCC, was based on credible intelligence regarding the suspects' involvement in internet crime.

The suspects were apprehended on Sunday, August 10, 2025, with 18 vehicles and mobile devices recovered from the scene. The hotel is located within the premises of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library.

The arrested individuals will be charged to court once the investigation is concluded. The EFCC's swift action demonstrates its commitment to combating cybercrime in Nigeria.
