EFCC Arrests 36 Suspected Internet Fraudsters In Port Harcourt

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) recently arrested 36 suspected internet fraudsters in Port Harcourt. The arrests were made by operatives from the Port Harcourt Zonal Directorate following credible intelligence.

The suspects were apprehended in a sting operation on August 19 at various locations within the city. Items recovered during the operation included different models of exotic vehicles, motorcycles, various branded phones, laptops containing incriminating fraudulent documents.

The EFCC stated that the suspects will be charged to court upon the conclusion of the investigation. This crackdown on internet fraudsters highlights the ongoing efforts of the EFCC to combat cybercrime in Nigeria.
