EFCC Questions Justice Tsoho Over $160,000 Found

Justice John Tsoho, the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, was questioned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for several hours concerning $160,000 allegedly discovered in the possession of his wife during an EFCC operation. The incident occurred when she was intercepted while traveling to Benue State and later returned to Abuja.

The EFCC's investigation follows claims that Justice Tsoho's wife was found with the cash, but the purpose of the trip remains unclear. Additionally, Justice Tsoho is scheduled to appear before the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) on March 16, 2026, for allegedly failing to declare several bank accounts, including three accounts at United Bank for Africa and Access Bank, as required by law.

This failure could lead to penalties, including a potential 10-year ban from holding public office. Justice Tsoho has denied the allegations and insists he has complied with legal asset declaration requirements.
