Ekiti Police Detain Journalist Over Defamation Allegations - Press Freedom Concerns

The Ekiti State Police Command detained journalist Sodiq Atanda following a petition by Vice Chancellor Abayomi Fasina of Federal University, Oye-Ekiti. Atanda, a senior reporter for Foundation for Investigative Journalism (FIJ), was prevented from leaving the police headquarters after being summoned over allegations of cyberbullying and criminal defamation.
